(Although maybe it's because I played on classic mode. ![]() Heck, I remember several chapters being very difficult. I didn't think Awakening was dumbed down. Oh yes, Leo is definitely one of the strongest.but like for my team, my strongest happened to be Ophelia. I couldn't resist! I really enjoy his story.and yes, I played Conquest first because I really wanted the m/m pairing! I wish there were more options for that, but ah well. ![]() Haha, yup! I married Niles as a male avatar as well. If you're talking about the strongest character in combat, for me that would be Leo or Xander. He's that guy who's really shady in numerous ways, but you love him. I didn't just marry him because I could though I likely would have married him even if I had chose a female avatar. It was literally right before I started the chapter which you meet Niles which I discovered the entire same sex marriage situation. I chose Conquest because my gut told me too, lol. See, I knew there would be some sort of same sex marriage option in Fates, but I had no idea there was only one M/M option in Conquest and one F/F option in Birthright. That's one of the few things I dislike about SS. I know Sacred Stones had a support system, but for some godforsaken reason, you could only unlock five support conversations with each character. You get to know the characters a lot better, and it offers more to the game. I really liked the two part plot, and the characters. I don't think the game was bad at all, even if was adapted for younger players. You're one of the few older fans I know that aren't on that side. I've heard from most long-term fans of FE that Awakening was "dumbed down" for newer players and that it wasn't a good game because of that. It's not fully legal, but hey, you get to play the game! That's what I've done for all the FE games I have other than Awakening and Fates, and even found translation patches for the Japan only ones. You could get a Wii emulator on your computer and download a ROM of Radiant Dawn. Plus the fact for some reason there weren't any FE games released between 20. Which was not long after Shadow Dragon was released, but I didn't get a DS until Christmas 2010, so I couldn't have played it even if I knew about it. ![]() I discovered Fire Emblem from Super Smash Brothers Brawl, which my brother got for Christmas of 2009. I'm only 16, so the only games I've been around for their initial release has been Awakening and Fates. Ophelia (Odin's daughter) is my strongest. Do you have a favorite character in Conquest yet? Niles is probably my #1.but he's not my strongest. I love the support system and the evolution of it, including the children characters and such. I'm really enjoying Conquest a lot, though. But my goodness, it's been 11 years since it was released.so I don't remember it too much! :P I'm not sure if I can pick a favorite.they're all so good. It's way too expensive to get now, and I didn't have a Wii when it was released lol. And the one I didn't play (or I don't have at least) is Radiant Dawn on the Wii. So I've been around to play them all when they first came out. And that makes sense, I don't know how old you are or when you started playing the games, so I didn't think you played nearly all the ones released in the US when they came out, and sort of assumed you were in a situation like I am. I played Awakening religiously for most of 2014, lol. I found Shadow Dragon mediocre, but I really liked Sacred Stones. It was the only game file I had on that laptop, at least. Okay, I was pretty confused for a second there, lol. So as for having the time.since I played them whenever they were new.the time was used at the time? Lol. : (( Ugh! Losing game files is the worst. It's been years (I played it on the DS whenever it was new), so I don't really remember it being so long! I'm sorry that your laptop broke at the time and you lost your game file. ![]() (Sorry!) Although I remember that I didn't play one on Gamecube. It took forever just to get a third through Shadow Dragon. Other than Conquest, I've played Awakening, Sacred Stones, and got a third through Shadow Dragon before the laptop I had at the time very suddenly broke, making me lose the game file, and I never restarted it. I've had the first Genealogy of the Holy War as a ROM on my computer for ages, and I've only completed like, three chapters because they take so long. I love the series, but the earlier games especially are so time consuming. Wait, really? Even the ones only released in Japan? I started playing this game too! :D What other FE games have you played?Īll of them! It's such an amazing series.
